Following a harrowing car accident that almost claimed her son's life, Jacob and Emma Fairfax (played by Cooper Nelson and Cat Rebelsky respectively) have gradually found a way to move on and find peace in their lives. However, their newfound sense of normalcy is abruptly shattered when Emma's past resurfaces, threatening to destroy everything they've worked so hard to rebuild. To make matters worse, Jacob has been diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder (I.E.D), a condition that causes him to experience sudden outbursts of anger and aggression. When a murder occurs in their community, Jacob finds himself under suspicion and becomes a prime suspect in the investigation.
