About the movie
Los Anillos de Saturno: Directed by Juan Pablo Elorriaga. With Eduardo Delgado Hernández, Jorge Jáuregui, Andrés Valadez, Gema Quiroz. Ezequiel is a magician who has been institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital following an alleged suicide attempt. The hospital's director, Antonio Nieto, does not believe Ezequiel's stories about being immortal and speaking with an imaginary being named Saturn. However, Ezequiel manages to make a deal with Saturn, the hospital's superintendent, to secure the release of his wife Victoria in exchange for Antonio's wife, Isabel. Taking advantage of a blackmail situation, Ezequiel convinces Antonio to get him the bottle in which Victoria is supposedly imprisoned. During his psychiatric evaluation, Ezequiel demonstrates his magic skills, managing to bring Victoria back into the world and securing her release. Later on, Antonio discovers that it was all a trick by Ezequiel to gain fame, but what he didn't expect was to be confronted by Saturn, who's in possession of his lost ring and is interested in Isabel. As the plot unfolds, the characters find themselves in a web of deception, manipulation, and magical realism. Ezequiel's apparent delusions of grandeur may have more truth to them than anyone initially thought, and Saturn's presence in the story begins to take on a more ominous tone. The Rings of Saturn is an exploration of the human desire for power and the blurred lines between what is real and what is merely a figment of the imagination. The story challenges us to question our perceptions of reality and to consider the possibility that there may be more to the world than what meets the eye. In the end, the characters are left to grapple with the consequences of their actions and the true nature of their own power, leaving us to wonder where the line between reality and illusion truly lies.
