In this thrilling new short film directed, produced and acted by Tristan Kolio playing Doran Lipsey, we are soon to find his life changes in an instant. This COVID Inspired short film expresses the life of a young teenage boy, after his parents were quarantined he is left to fend and care for himself, will he be able to do the jobs his mother used to do? Doran is living in a new era of the global pandemic, in a time based in the future. The world's health around him is decreasing dramatically as the virus spreads and continues to form into new strands and cells making it deadlier and deadlier. As he himself continues to live, it is seen that many around him including 80% of the population are dying off with no way of helping this deadly virus. Doran soon finds himself stuck at home all by himself as a new strand of the virus has contaminated the air across the globe, his parents are immediately quarantined and he is stuck at home without them. He finds out on multiple news outlets what is going in around him and he is lost on what to do. As reception is lost and all communication towers are down, he doesn't know the whereabouts of his parents, the only thing he can do now is sit and worry. Will Doran be able to survive by himself? That question is yet to answered. The short film competition is set to take place in March, 2021 featuring many different COVID inspired short films from many aspiring and current filmmakers across the globe. "Apocalyptic Virus" is a film that was purely inspired by two writers, Tristan Kolio and Tahlia Tuhega. The concept idea for this film was set for the convenience of the young actor as he was limited to crew. Tristan is currently filming, editing, creating and acting in this short film by himself.
